Update on the Contraceptive Equity Act

On Advocacy Day, January 22nd, we testified for the Contraceptive Equity Act before the VA Senate Commerce and Labor Committee. Representatives from National Latina Institute for Reproductive Justice, Repro Rising VA, and Birth in Color all spoke about the need to eliminate barriers to accessing contraceptive care as part of comprehensive Reproductive Justice.

SB238 passed in The Senate Commerce and Labor Committee and is on its way to the Senate Finance and Appropriations Committee!

HB819 is waiting to be heard in the House Labor and Commerce Committee this week. You can still contact committee members and tell them to vote YES on HB819!
